Old Dominion expands drayage in Dallas and Nashville

Sept. 30, 2014

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (OD) has added drayage facilities in Dallas, TX, and Nashville, TN, to its nationwide network. The Thomasville, NC-based LTL carrier said that both locations are “strategically positioned near several major railheads.”

“We are delighted to open OD’s first drayage facility in the state of Texas as well an additional facility within Tennessee this year,” said Jerry Aaron, director of container operations. “These new locations will better connect OD to global customers with intermodal shipping needs.”

The Thomasville, NC-based LTL carrier said that through its OD Global services it can transport full container load shipments directly to or from any point in the U.S. The company operates 22 drayage facilities across the U.S.

OD added that its National Container Drayage Div. offers direct container drayage service from more than 22 ports and railheads throughout the country.  The company offers such drayage services as inland container pools and a range of container-related services, including loading, unloading and short-term warehousing.
