WIX Filters has launched a “comprehensive fuel maintenance initiative” that will “create a more expansive product line” to meet the diverse needs of heavy-duty customers with operations ranging from small- and medium-sized fleets to light-duty larger vehicles.

The new HD product line includes filters, test kits, fuel water absorbers and additives.

“As the global filtration supplier, we developed an extensive offering of tank filters, test kits and water absorbers so our partners can better support their local and regional fleet customers,” said Edward Covington, vice president of quality assurance for WIX Filters.

“By keeping diesel fuel clean of impurities, our heavy-duty customers see improved operational efficiencies, therefore reducing onboard fuel-related issues,” he continued. “In other words, our heavy-duty product line has everything our customers need to protect their investments.”

WIX’s HD heavy-duty product line includes:

    • XD (extended drain), XE (extra-efficiency) and premium filters that “capture dirt and help increase the life of fleet engines”
    • Diesel fuel test kits that “help monitor the health of fuel, allowing fleets to adjust fuel water absorbers, breathers and/or additives as needed, catching problems before they start”
    • Fuel water absorbers that “remove water from fuel before hitting filters and expensive injectors”
    • Additives that treat fuel during cold weather

“In a continued effort to provide ongoing training for our partners and distributors, we’ve developed tools for them to be able to talk about these heavy-duty offerings in an informed manner,” added Jeff Blocher, vice president of sales & marketing for WIX Filters.

The new sales materials stem from the WIX 10 training program and include a diesel fuel education booklet and a poster that comprehensively explains why water is the enemy of these fuel systems.

According to the company, these materials are “meant to build awareness of WIX’s HD product line while helping partners understand what questions they should be asking their customers.”
