Impco Automotive receives certification for GM models

INDIANAPOLIS. Impco Automotive, which is exhibiting at the NTEA Work Truck Show this week in Indianapolis, announced that it has received EPA certification for its 2015 General Motors 1500 (half ton) pick-up truck and 1500 Chevy Tahoe. The vehicles feature the 5.3L EcoTec3 direct injection engine. The 5.3L engine is a bi-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion system.

Impco Automotive, which exhibited at the NTEA Work Truck Show last week in Indianapolis, announced that it has received EPA certification for its 2015 General Motors 1500 (half ton) pick-up truck and 1500 Chevy Tahoe. Those vehicles both feature the 5.3L EcoTec3 direct injection engine.

The 5.3L engine is a bi-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion system.

The addition of this engine expands Impco’s bi-fuel CNG line to include CNG GM 2500/3500 (all cab and bed lengths), bi-fuel CNG GM 1500 (all cab and bed lengths), and bi-fuel CNG Ford F250 (all cab and bed lengths).
