Phillips offers new trailer air brake in-line filtration system

June 24, 2015
Phillips Industries now offers the AIR-DEFENSE System, a trailer brake in-line filtration system with Quick-Change Cartridge that traps debris before it can cause dangerous, expensive and time consuming repairs, the company announced. The AIR-DEFENSE System’s Quick-Change Cartridge, featuring a bypass mode to ensure air flow at all times, catches debris before it can enter the trailer air lines and brake valves, causing damage, the company said. “When the cartridge is full, a red indicator pops out giving a quick visual notification to a technician or operator that it needs to be replaced,” Phillips said. “Replacement of the cartridge is accomplished in minutes without added downtime to the vehicle.”The patent-pending AIR-DEFENSE System, designed and assembled in the U.S., can be used on both service and emergency lines, according to the company. Both the AIR-DEFENSE System (Part No. 12-815) and Quick-Change Cartridges (Part No. 12-035) can be purchased through authorized Phillips’ distributors.
