Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA) is rolling out what it calls a “comprehensive” nationwide product support program called “FusoFirst” for owners and operators of its medium-duty truck models.
The program includes 24/7 roadside assistance, a dedicated website and mobile application, ongoing operator training, and nationwide links to Fuso dealers for parts and service needs, noted Jecka Glasman, MFTA's president and CEO, in a statement.
The OEM noted that the roadside assistance part of the program includes 24/7 towing, tire service, jump-starting, lockout service and fuel/DEF [diesel exhaust fluid] replenishment—all available free of charge within the U.S. and Canada, for anyThe OEM said the new program’s mobile-friendly troubleshooting web app (seen at right) gives drivers access via their smartphone or tablet anywhere they have Internet connection to a dealer locator, a link to the roadside assistance number, a vehicle support wizard that will walk the driver step-by-step through a number of symptom-specific troubleshooting scenarios, as well as driver assistance videos and downloadable vehicle technical information.
"We recognize that driver education and continually improving customer service are keys to a strong future,” Glasman noted.
“Our new FusoFirst program is designed to signal our commitment to our customers in a tangible way," he added
Glasman also noted that current Fuso truck owners with vehicles still under warranty will receive a special FusoFirst “kickoff kit”via mail that will provide detailed information about the program, while new truck owners will receive those FusoFirst welcome kits at the time of delivery.
