Faymonville announced it is shaking up the transport sector in North America. After the HighwayMAX and the DualMAX, the company launched the TeleMAX – flatdeck semi-trailer, extendable up to four times to a maximum overall length of 210 ft. (64m).“We adapted now the pneumatic and the electric system and components of the TeleMAX to the North American DOT Standards,” says Paul Hönen, area sales manager. “And the non-load bearing pull out permits a longer overhang of the loads.”Due to its telescopic loading deck, the TeleMAX is suited for the transport of particularly long or bulky loads and available with 3 or 4 axles, the company said.“This trailer is great for the 150' blade molds that we have had to move for Vestas,” explains Steve Sharp, owner of Sharp Steve Transportation and one of the first U.S. users of this product.Additionally, the company said its lightweight construction, steering angle (55°) and the low loading deck height “guarantee optimum maneuverability with the highest possible payload.”The TeleMAX from Faymonville is equipped with hydraulically steerable axles. The hydraulic support leg allows the opening/closing of the trailer and the fully metalized frame (zinc galvanising) ensures corrosion protection, the company said.“With doing work inside of gas plants and for wind farms, it's been a good investment,” Sharp added. This type of trailer can be viewed and tested at the official U.S. representative and sales agent for Faymonville, Hale Heavy Haul located in Voorhees, NJ.
