Asset monitoring and telemetry company DPL Telematics announced the release of its AssetView Stealth Tracking System.

The AssetView Stealth is a solution for wireless monitoring and remote tracking of any powered or unpowered asset to improve logistics, manage inventory, and curb theft. The small, portable GPS unit is completely self-contained and may be hidden on any asset.

Managers are able to monitor any asset remotely with the AssetView Stealth from an Internet-based software package and mobile app. The unit offers the following features:

    • No external wiring or antenna: Quick, unwired attachment to any asset
    • Internal battery power: Powered by two AA Lithium batteries, customer replaceable
    • Tamper detection: Text and email alerts if the unit is removed
    • Long battery life: Self-powered up to 10 years on daily updates, up to 2.5 years on more detailed tracking
    • Wireless, two-way communication: Activate recovery mode or set movement alerts over the air from the software or mobile app
    • Waterproof IP 68 and IK07 rated design: For deployment in harsh environments
    • Tip & impact detection: Notifications of potential safety issues or asset abuse
    • Compact and completely portable: Stealthy and small, may be rotated between company assets and hidden easily
    • Complete GNSS coverage: Faster, more accurate locations by utilizing all five satellite constellations
    • Global cellular coverage: Track assets across borders
    • Month to month agreement: No long-term contract, deactivate and reactivate anytime without penalty

The AssetView combines multiple technologies to maximize battery life while operating and remaining active in low power modes. Notifications of low battery power are provided remotely so customers are aware when to replace the batteries, well in advance of their depletion.

As soon as the device is removed from its installation location, users receive text and email alerts along with its mapped location. The AssetView’s proprietary TruTrace Adaptive Tracking technology increases the device’s reporting frequency when movement is detected and automatically reduces it when stationary.

“Since the AssetView Stealth has marginal install time and uses readily available AA batteries, customers can easily replace them anytime they are alerted that its power is getting low. Its small size and affordable price point allow anybody to easily track nearly anything, regardless of its power source," Tony Nicoletti, CEO at DPL Telematics, said. "Customers control their monthly subscription with the option to deactivate and reactivate as needed without penalty, which is ideal for seasonal or demand-based usage.”
