Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. has announced a strategic licensing agreement with powertrain component supplier Hilite International. The worldwide, non-exclusive agreement allows Hilite to license Clean Diesel’s ARIS airless injection technology for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) control of NOx emissions in global OEM markets, the company said.
With the license, Hilite also obtained rights to Clean Diesel’s combination of the use of exhaust gas recirculation in conjunction with SCR for reducing fuel consumption and emissions, according to the company.
The Hilite International agreement follows similar deals for Clean Diesel’s NOx emission control and energy efficiency technologies with Robert Bosch, GmbH and Tenneco, Clean Diesel said.
