Eaton debuts authorized rebuilder program

Eaton Corp. has launched an authorized rebuilder program for three large independent aftermarket providers to rebuild and sell Eaton heavy-duty transmissions.

The providers will rebuild the transmissions with 100% genuine Eaton components that meet all of Eaton’s reuse and rebuild requirements.

The new Eaton authorized rebuilders are Power Train, Indianapolis, IN, TransAxle, Cinnaminson, NJ, and Valley Truck Parts, Grand Rapids, MI. Power Train has 12 locations in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. TransAxle has 23 locations on the east coast, and Valley Truck Parts has five locations in Michigan and five distribution centers throughout North America.

“The program has been constructed to provide enhanced value to the rebuilders and ultimately to the end users who purchase our products,” said Bill Fouch, Eaton’s NAFTA aftermarket marketing manager. “Each of these companies was carefully selected based on their commitment to customer satisfaction and their ability to provide value to our mutual customers. We are looking forward to a successful program with these three well respected companies.”

To be recognized as an Eaton authorized rebuilder, staff at the three locations will be required to take Eaton’s technical and sales training, meet Eaton’s re-use and rebuild criteria, and must use 100% genuine Eaton content for all of the transmissions rebuilt as part of the program.

“Our company is very much focused on service,” said Joe Leffel, president of Power Train. “This program, and the technological expertise that comes with it, will go a long way in allowing us to better service all of our customers, while also working with what we believe are the highest quality transmissions in the truck industry.”

Eaton will provide the program participants with enhanced warranty coverage, and marketing support, including signage and tags for the rebuilt units, promotional materials, and advertising support.

All Eaton products are backed by the Roadranger network, which includes more than 200 drivetrain professionals throughout North America.
