The Kenworth Certified Pre-Owned Program was introduced in conjunction with the recent Used Truck Association (UTA) Annual Convention.

Exclusive to Kenworth dealers and PACCAR Financial Used Truck Centers, the new program enables customers to purchase quality, pre-owned and certified Kenworth Class 8 trucks in the United States and Canada, according to the company. Qualifying Kenworth trucks are late model and low mileage, and will come standard with engine and after treatment warranty coverage.

Each Kenworth vehicle must pass a comprehensive 150-point inspection, which includes engine, after treatment, interior, exterior, chassis, electronics, safety devices, and a road test. Each truck must be certified by a Kenworth dealer technician, carry DOT certification, and receive a full diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning, and an  oil and filter change.

“Kenworth trucks are recognized and respected for their excellent quality, fuel efficiency and durability. With the new program’s official launch in January 2017, truck buyers will receive a high level of confidence when buying pre-owned Kenworths that have undergone thorough inspections and are certified according to Kenworth’s high standards,” said Kurt Swihart, Kenworth marketing director.
