Mack, WyoTech partnering to train technicians

Sept. 7, 2012

Mack Trucks is partnering with WyoTech to offer advanced training for trucking technicians. The program will kick off at WyoTech’s Blairsville, PA, campus in the spring of 2013.

Students enrolled in the program will be trained specifically to work on Mack Trucks, including its engines, electrical and electronics, emissions, powertrain and chassis components.

“Our technologically advanced trucks require technicians who understand how all of the systems and components work together,” said John Walsh, Mack vice president of marketing. “We worked with WyoTech to develop a Mack-specific curriculum so that our dealers have more highly skilled technicians to consider in their hiring decisions.”

WyoTech is a division of Corinthian Colleges, Inc., one of the largest post-secondary education companies in North America. With six campuses located throughout the United States, WyoTech offers degree and diploma programs in the fields of automotive, diesel, collision/refinishing, motorcycle, marine and construction trades.  For information on WyoTech, including graduation rates and the median debt of students who completed the program, visit www.wyotech.edu/disclosures.
