The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently issued recall notices for commercial vehicles, including brands from Rivian and more.

Owners of the affected vehicles should be contacted via U.S. mail over the next two months, but fleet and independent owners of these vehicles can contact the NHTSA Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit nhtsa.gov for more details. More information on each recall can be found below.

Orange EV models’ inadequate fuse protection can cause fire

Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2025 Husk-e terminal trucks. The high-voltage short-circuit protection system may have an inadequate fuse. In the event of a short, the fuse may open too slowly or not at all, increasing the risk of a fire.

This recall potentially affects 47 vehicles. OEV will replace the fuse. Owner notification letters were mailed June 9. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2025-SRC-04.

Rivian models’ front exterior turn signals may fail

Rivian Automotive is recalling certain 2025 R1S and R1T vehicles. One or both front turn signals may fail to illuminate and flash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Turn signals that do not function properly, failing to indicate the driver's intention to change direction, increase the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 27,882 vehicles. Rivian will inspect and replace the front turn signals as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 25. Owners may contact Rivian customer service at 888-748-4261. Rivian's number for this recall is FSAM-1693.
