A series of new fleet management alerts have been added to the Telogis Fleet platform. The company said these offer maintenance managers even more visibility into critical items that include battery status, oil change, tire rotation, tune-up, over-temperature and PTO utilization.

A variety of sensor data such as odometer, engine hours and battery voltage help generate the alerts. They can be configured as automated email alerts on any number of parameters.

“Every hour that a vehicle is sitting in the maintenance bay instead of being on the road represents lost revenue for its operator,” said Jason Koch, president of Telogis Fleet Division. “Organizations that use Telogis Fleet's fleet management alerts can reduce this downtime by proactively identifying potential issues with their vehicles, and also ensure that maintenance is only performed on those vehicles that require it.”

The Telogis Fleet maintenance module is completely customizable with vehicle-specific scheduling and maintenance activity logging and offers real-time reporting. The new alerts allow for timely preventive maintenance by identifying if maintenance is necessary while also monitoring the actual hours an engine has been running since its last service.
