Walcott Jamboree: Trucks for show also trucks for dough

WALCOTT, IOWA. The antique trucks on display at the 36th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree were impressive, but most of them were show ponies—and pricey ones to restore and maintain, at that. But the real show-stoppers were those immaculately groomed trucks that still work for a living.

The poor, run-of-the-mill trucks parked on the other side of the Iowa 80 truck stop lot likely developed some self-esteem issues after a weekend around these red-carpet beauties.
