The 2025 FleetOwner 500: For-Hire list ranks the most prominent motor carrier and commercial fleet operations in the U.S. by total registered power units. Released in February, the FO500 saw many ranking shifts after a busy 2024 of carrier acquisitions, mergers, consolidations, and expansions.

According to Trucker Path, tanker trucks are categorized by a cylinder-shaped trailer. This kind of trailer is used to transport dry bulk cargo or liquid bulk cargo. This list is almost identical to the order of last year’s top 10. The only change is that Groendyke Transport moved to the No. 7 spot while Dana Cos. dropped to No. 8.
