Altec models’ battery cables may overheat and cause fires

Altec Industries is recalling certain 2024 FOSV-CA vehicles. The interconnect battery cable routed between the chassis battery and the auxiliary batteries may overheat. An overheated battery cable increases the risk of a fire.

This recall potentially affects 30 vehicles. Dealers will reroute the interconnect connections to the fused terminal, replace the interconnect battery cables with higher-gauge cables, and inspect and replace the solenoid as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 1. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is MAB-3258.

Altec models’ auxiliary engine circuit may overheat and cause a fire

Altec Industries is recalling certain 2022-2025 ST600 vehicles equipped with auxiliary engines. The auxiliary engine electrical circuit, including the starter and voltage regulator, may become overloaded. Overloaded circuits may overheat and increase the risk of fire.

This recall potentially affects 278 vehicles. Owners will be advised to turn the battery disconnect off as part of the shutdown procedure. Altec will replace the electrical circuit. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 1. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3257.

Autocar models’ steering wheel may separate and cause steering loss

Autocar is recalling certain 2023-2026 ACX (Xpeditor) and DC (Legend) vehicles. The steering wheel nut may be improperly secured, allowing the steering wheel to separate from the steering column. A steering wheel separation may result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 4,687 vehicles. Autocar will inspect and secure the steering wheel nut as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 28. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 888-218-3611. Autocar's numbers for this recall are ACX-2504 and DC-2506.

Mack models’ improperly welded seat belt anchor

Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2020-2025 Mack MD, 2019-2025 Anthem, Granite, 2024 MD Electric, and 2025 Pinnacle trucks equipped with a passenger bench seat. The seat belt anchorage bracket may be improperly welded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages." An improperly welded seat belt anchorage bracket can detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

This recall potentially affects 15,841 vehicles. Dealers will install a reinforcement plate. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 5. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0485.

Ram ProMaster models’ software may cause loss of drive power

Chrysler is recalling certain 2024-2025 Ram ProMaster battery electric (BEV) vehicles. The electric drive module software may not effectively manage torque, which can result in a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 790 vehicles. Dealers will update the software for the motor control processor, battery processor control module, integrated dual charge module, and electric vehicle control unit. Additionally, dealers will inspect and replace the electric drive module as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 30. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 98C. Vehicle identification numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 16.

Toyota models’ rearview camera image may not display

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2022-2025 Tundra and Tundra hybrid models and certain 2023-2025 Sequoia vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview image not to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility." A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 393,838 vehicles. Dealers will update the multimedia display software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB10 and 25TA10.
