Hendrickson has introduced its new Composilite SC (steerable compliant) series of lift axles. All models in the series will feature reduced system weight, minimized package space and a compliant tie-rod, according to Hendrickson.

The lift axles will provide a full range of capacities, including 10,000-, 13,500- and 20,000-lb ratings. Hendrickson said the new series takes tie-rod technology “one step further” with its patent-pending Compliant Tie Road (CTR) with PerfecTrak technology, which provides for the first flexible tie-rod assembly and dampening system, said the maker.

PerfecTrak technology was “designed to lower maintenance costs and increase uptime by providing a resilient impact-resistant tie-rod assembly,” said Hendrickson. The company added that the CTR system “provides a robust self-centering mechanism and improved driver feel through the industry’s first-ever passive steer Ackerman.”

Hendrickson said this year it will complete the Composilite SC series by releasing SCT (Standard Truck Mount), SCW (Standard Weld-on Trailer Mount), SCO (Roll-Off Steer) , SCR (Reverse Steer) and SCH (High-Lift Steer) models.

“The development of the SC series further improves product performance and durability while offering increased payload and reduced maintenance,” the company noted.
