Kenworth of Buffalo and Kenworth of Pennsylvania have both opened new full-service facilities for truck service.

Kenworth of Buffalo’s facility, in Colonie, N.Y. near Albany, is conveniently located off the U.S. Interstate 87 and 90 interchange. The 30,000-sq.-ft. Kenworth of Buffalo- Albany facility is located on 5-1/2 acres at 5 Fritz Blvd.

According to Kenworth of Buffalo, the new location features a unique shop design with six drive-in bays along with two drive-thru bays—giving the service department the capacity to work on 18 tractors simultaneously. One bay is dedicated to providing Kenworth PremierCare ExpressLube services. The 800-sq.-ft. parts showroom is complemented with a 4,000 sq.-ft. parts warehouse. The new location also offers parts delivery service and a drivers’ lounge.

“Kenworth of Buffalo is dedicated to providing outstanding support to customers at our four facilities in New York State,” said Dennis Dintino, dealer principal of Kenworth Buffalo, which also operates locations in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, NY.

“This new location near the U.S. Interstate 87 and 90 interchange is less than a mile from the Central Avenue exit off of Interstate 87, and also offers convenient access to the New York State Thruway,” said Richard Cone, branch manager for Kenworth of Buffalo – Albany. “Our new facility sits on a large area with plenty of space for truck drivers to maneuver and park their trucks and trailers. The park-like surroundings make the new location an attractive place. And the unique shop layout gives our service department a more efficient workspace, which means faster service for our customers.

“Our primary objective is customer satisfaction,” Cone added “The siting of the Albany location near the I-87 and I-90 interchange and New York Thruway is in response to suggestions from our customers, who wanted us to find a location providing them easier access than what other area truck dealers provide. We’re looking to exceed what our competitors can offer.”

Kenworth of Pennsylvania’s new full-service facility is also 30,000 sq. ft., located in Dunmore, PA, just off I-81, I-84, and I-380.

The facility includes a 17,000-sq.-ft. service department with six drive-through service bays, including dedicated truck washing and preventive and express maintenance service bays. There is also a 3,000-sq.-ft. parts display area which includes TRP Aftermarket Parts products, and a 7,000-sq.-ft. parts warehouse.

Parts delivery service is offered five days a week.

Other amenities at the facility include a drivers’ lounge with recliner chairs and 42-in. big screen television, and showers. A motel is located just one block away and offers a discounted rate to Kenworth of Pennsylvania customers with a truck in the shop overnight.

“Kenworth of Pennsylvania has operated a dealership in Dunmore for the past 30 years. We made a very significant investment to provide customers with a brand new and larger facility, which offers a wide selection of quality Kenworth heavy and medium duty trucks in addition to excellent parts, service and body shop support,” said Gary Mitchell, president of Kenworth of Pennsylvania, which also operates dealerships in Carlisle, Clintonville, New Stanton and Shartlesville, Pa.
