ZF expands multiple product portfolios during HDAW ’21

Jan. 29, 2021
The Wabco-branded aftermarket solutions ZF unveiled at HDAW ’21 include Cummins Remanufactured Air Compressors, additional Wabco OnGuardACTIVE Collision Mitigation System (CMS) retrofit kits, and Wabco EasyFit Automatic Slack Adjusters.

ZF announced the availability of aftermarket solutions for commercial vehicles during the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) ’21 virtual conference.

This is the first HDAW for ZF’s newly created Commercial Vehicle Control Systems (CVCS) Division, which was established when ZF acquired Wabco in May 2020. The WABCO product brand remains intact as part of the ZF portfolio.

The new Wabco-branded aftermarket solutions ZF unveiled include:

Cummins Remanufactured Air Compressors now available directly to the independent aftermarket

Launched at HDAW ’20, ZF’s remanufactured air compressor portfolio now includes Cummins remanufactured air compressors made available directly to independent aftermarket customers. ZF’s premium remanufactured air compressors, including Cummins, are guaranteed to provide original equipment (OE) equivalent performance in even the most demanding operating conditions. Additional Wabco Reman Solutions products include air dryers, automated manual transmissions, hydraulic power brake systems, and Enhanced Easy-Stop trailer anti-lock braking (ABS) systems.

Additional Wabco OnGuardACTIVE Collision Mitigation System (CMS) retrofit kits

Five new retrofit kits have been added to the OnGuardACTIVE retrofit portfolio, enabling fleets to install the advanced active safety technology on most Freightliner P3 Cascadia 2013-2020 model year vehicles. The radar-based system can assist drivers with recognizing and responding to potentially dangerous driving scenarios with moving or stationary vehicles ahead.

Wabco EasyFit Automatic Slack Adjusters

Available for both truck and trailer applications, EasyFit Automatic Slack Adjusters (ASAs) can automatically compensate wear of the brake lining so the stroke of the brake cylinders remains unchanged. They are also powder-coated for corrosion protection and designed with durability in mind. Quick and easy to install, the adjusters are designed to be maintenance-free, featuring a sealed, lubricated-for-life housing.

“ZF CVCS is proud to offer a full range of replacement parts, including genuine OE products, remanufactured solutions, and quality aftermarket parts, demonstrating our dedication to support fleet owners throughout the vehicle lifecycle,” said Abe Aon, business leader, North America aftersales, service and support – ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems Division. “Over the past few years, we’ve significantly grown our aftermarket product offering to help fleets reduce unexpected downtime and get vehicles back on the road as quickly as possible. We look forward to evolving our portfolio even further in the coming year, driven by our promise to be our customers’ ‘Partner in Uptime’ and our unwavering commitment to their success."
