Pressure Systems International expands quality-control lab

Aug. 26, 2013

Pressure Systems International (P.S.I), manufacturer of the the Meritor Tire Inflation System by P.S.I., has expanded its quality-control laboratory and product testing facility at its headquarters in San Antonio, TX.

The expansion adds approximately 240 sq. ft. of floor space to accommodate new equipment for in-house root cause analysis and testing, the company said. Additionally, state-of-the-art equipment and measuring devices have been added to the lab.

“Our quality record is really second to none for products manufactured here in San Antonio,” said Charlie LaFuente, quality control manager/engineer. “But we're never satisfied to rest on past experience.

“Much of this improvement and expansion was to upgrade in-house capabilities to have them closer to the manufacturing floor,” he added.
