Snap-on has released an impact wrench and swivel sockets that are twice as strong as previous models, the company said.

The MG325 3/8-in. Impact Wrench with accompanying 7-piece swivel sockets used with Snap-on’s FlankDrive wrenching system and 14-piece deep impact socket set can provide up to 425 ft.-lbs. of breakaway torque.

The wrench is made of a one-piece housing and features a continuous oil bath lubrication mechanism, twin hammer impact mechanism, reverse bias motor for more torque when the wrench is in reverse and a comfort cushion trigger button. There is also less fatigue due to low vibration impact, the company said.

The FlankDrive socket sets feature laser-welded pivot pins with a full 30-deg. swivel action and are designed to withstand high-torque output impact guns. The wrenching system sockets deliver 15 to 20% more turning power.
