Tom Horne given Lifetime Achievement Award

Tom Horne has been posthumously awarded the Marvin F. Gordon Lifetime Achievement Award by Peterbilt Motors Co. Horne, of Hunter Peterbilt, was given the award for his contributions to the used truck industry.

He was previously nominated for the award in 2010.

Horne’s wife Amy and eldest son Samuel accepted the award, presented during the 2012 Used Truck Assn. Convention.

“Tom’s performance throughout the years was outstanding,” said Mike Conroy, Peterbilt director of dealer network development. “He has served as an exceptional representative for Hunter Peterbilt, the used truck industry and exemplified Peterbilt’s commitment to class.” 

“It was a special moment for the leaders of the used truck industry to honor their mentor, colleague, and friend,” said Jeff Hunter, CEO of the Hunter Family of Companies. “Tom’s career was filled with accomplishments within the used truck industry and we’re proud he was part of the Hunter family.”

In attendance to celebrate this honor along with Amy and Sam were his youngest son Ethan, Tom’s parent’s, Tom and Betty Horne, Bill and Karen Hunter, Wayne McCombs, and Melissa Cole.
