Air Force officers get their hands dirty fixing trucks

R-11 Mobility Refueler Units are one of the “bread and butter” trucks at U.S. air bases; critical to topping off the fuel tanks for all manner of military aircraft. So when the OEM sent out special repair kits to fix a sump pump defect on R-11 mode fuel trucks, Col. Kevin Eastland and Captain Jennifer, vice commander and executive officer, respectively, of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, didn’t just fob the duty off onto their troops; they rolled up their sleeves and joined them in the repair bay.
