• Wireless digital cameras added to backup systems

    Dec. 13, 2013

Mobile Awareness has added a digital wireless backup camera and monitor systems to its product lineup.

The company’s built-in digital wireless “pairs” up to four cameras to a monitor providing interference-free video at extreme distances, it said.

“Our fleet customers work in high-interference prone environments where traditional wireless isn’t always reliable enough,” said Nico Cottone, vice president of business development. “Our digital wireless solution pairs the camera signal with the monitor creating a handshake between devices.”

A video showing the effectiveness of digital vs. analog wireless at 60 ft.; the typical length the system may have to traverse in commercial environments has been created. It is available at http://youtu.be/TZSHBNPd2TA.
