Through weekly contributions volunteered by its truck drivers and other employees, Averitt Express raised and donated a total of $450,000 in 2014 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Since 1986, the company’s “Averitt Cares for Kids” charitable employee-giving program has generated and contributed nearly $7.5 million to children-related charities such as St. Jude’s, Shriners Burns Hospital, and Ronald McDonald House.

“Each year, I am more humbled by our team’s drive to give to the community and provide support to children and families everywhere that are affected by childhood cancers and other illnesses,” noted Gary Sasser, president & CEO of Averitt Express. ”With just a weekly donation of $1, our associates exemplify what can be achieved when people rally together for a good cause.”
