Bay and Bay acquires J&C Trucking

May 7, 2014

Bay and Bay Transportation has acquired J&C Trucking of Baldwin, WI, adding an additional 50% to it’s the Bay and Bay tank division’s capacity.

J&C is Bay and Bay’s primary competitor in the Minnesota-Wisconsin market for hauling dry bulk commodities in the Midwest, the company said.

“The addition of J&C Trucking to our tank division is powerful. We’ll achieve an even higher operating ratio due to the overlap in freight networks and improved equipment efficiency. It’s a real win for customers,” said Sam Anderson, CEO of Bay and Bay.

The acquisition increases Bay and Bay’s total tank fleet to over 150 trucks and its overall fleet to more than 500 trucks. Bay & Bay will keep J&C’s Baldwin headquarters and all J&C staff in place indefinitely.
