Penske Truck  Leasing and Penske Logistics plan to add approximately 3,300 positions in the U.S. and an additional 200 in  Canada this year to meet increasing demand for its services, the company  announced.

The announcement was made on Penske’s  company blog.

The two division expect to be hiring for vehicle  maintenance supervisors, technicians; customer  service; sales; drivers;  and logistics and  supply chain positions.

“We’re pleased to continue this positive hiring trend at our  North American operations in 2012,” said Ken Hurley, senior vice president of  human resources for Penske Truck Leasing. “We look forward to adding new  associates to our talented, diverse team.”

Penske said that hiring in 2011 exceeded projections by 74%  due to increased industry demand.
