Truck driver veterans to eat free at TA and Petro on Veteran’s Day

TravelCenters of America, operator of TA and Petro Stopping Centers, announced that it will provide complimentary meals to all truck drivers who are also veterans of the United States Armed Services this Veteran’s Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at participating TA and Petro sit-down restaurants across the United States.

The Veteran’s Day meals will be served at more than 170 participating Skillet, Country Pride and other full-service, home-style restaurants within TA and Petro Stopping Centers.

“We understand that veterans have sacrificed their personal and family time by being in the armed forces, and those who are also drivers, do the same each and every day they are on the road,” said Tom O’Brien, president & CEO of TravelCenters. “Our goal is to honor veterans who are also drivers by recognizing them for their contributions in both protecting America and for keeping America moving each day they drive.”

Veterans with a commercial driver’s license will be required to show proof of their service prior to ordering the meal of their choice, up to a $15 value.
