Q: How are maintenance and major repairs handled?
A: Our truck and trailer maintenance and repairs are jobbed out to a few select trusted mechanics with whom we work.

Q: What challenges do you face with your maintenance program?
A: Our biggest challenge is trailer maintenance. Drivers take trailers in for monthly inspections.

Q: What are your mileage/time intervals on preventive maintenance?
A: We schedule lube jobs every 10,000 mi. and oil changes every 15,000 to 20,000 mi.

Q: How do you ensure good mileage from tires?
A: We’re consistent with tire rotation, and we are constantly checking for proper inflation.

Q: Do you stock any parts for your trucks or purchase as needed? If you stock parts, which ones?
A: We do buy and stock some parts in bulk, mainly brakes, tires, etc.

Q: How do you determine when it’s time to replace a truck or trailer?
A: When a unit exceeds $1,600 per month in repairs/maintenance, it’s time for it to go.

Q: What are your specifications for your trucks?
A: Fuel economy is our main concern when we are looking to buy a truck. Next, we consider driver comforts.

Q: What programs do you have in place to ensure CSA (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) compliance for your trucks and/or trailers?
A: We perform monthly brake inspections, and DOT inspections on our equipment every three months.

Q: What does your company do best?
A: Communication with customers is our best attribute.
