Dash Cam of the Week: Don’t be that guy

For those professional truck drivers who might be inconvenienced by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) annual Brake Safety Week starting Sunday, this Dash Cam of the Week should serve as a reminder: Not all truckers and trucking companies are as safe as they should be.

Miraculously, no one was killed in the pileup captured in this clip. The video, which shows a tractor-trailer smashing through traffic slowed at a construction zone, was initially shared by Binghamton (NY) Mayor Rich David who was hoping to identify the men who came forward to pull a woman from her burning car following the crash.

The video, and the mayor’s quest, went viral and were featured on NBC News.
