Fontaine Truck Equipment Co. will install Dometic’s battery-powered truck air conditioning system on its new trucks, the two companies announced.

Under the agreement, Fontaine will install Dometic’s system on new trucks at its nine U.S. locations under a ship-through program to truck dealers.

“The demand for idle-reduction products is growing fast, driven by skyrocketing diesel prices and a tougher clean-air regulatory environment,” said Lou Siegel, senior vp, marketing and strategic business development for Dometic Corp’s environmental division. “Fleet owners and owner-operators are increasingly looking to order new trucks with idle-reduction systems installed.”
