Mitchell 1 has added color air brake diagrams to the June update of its online truck repair manual system, Tractor-trailer.net. According to the company, the pneumatic diagrams will include the same features as the tractor-trailer.net electrical wiring diagrams.
The diagrams are readable at any zoom, mirroring the colors of the pneumatic brake lines on the truck. Using Mitchell 1’s CircuitSelect feature, technicians can highlight the brake line they are working on to more accurately diagnose and repair problems, the company said.
According to Mitchell 1, each air brake diagram is oriented the same regardless of manufacturer, and each make’s components—including the compressor, service brake chambers, spring brakes, relays and valves—are easily identifiable through consistent icons.
