Aljex Software has announced it will launch Aljex for Carriers, a web-based management solution for truckload carriers

Brokerage software supplier Aljex Software has announced it will launch Aljex for Carriers, a web-based management solution for truckload carriers. The new system is designed to enable managers to run operations from virtually any Internet-connected computer.

At the carrier's discretion, drivers and customers can also access the system. For example, Aljex noted, drivers can get dispatch and settlement information while customers can check on load status. No separate company web site is necessary and maintenance is included in the monthly cost of the software itself.

According to the company, once a carrier has an account established on Aljex’s servers, system access is available around the clock to whomever the carrier grants it. A number of standard features are available to authorized users, such as dispatch and operations management, integrated e-mail, customer management, Google mapping, quotes, load board access, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fuel surcharge management.

There are also numerous options available including an EDI (Electronic Date Interchange) interface, which makes it possible to communicate electronically with large corporate and 3PL customers. Other options include factoring, aQuickbooks interface, document image management and graphical manifesting.

Aljex for Carriers is scheduled to be commercially available beginning in April, following completion of beta testing.
