Xata Corp. has released the TREQ color display unit (CDU), a Windows CE-based 7-inch in-cab touch screen computer with a Windows CE-based high-resolution display, allowing drivers to easily input data, the company said.
The display, developed and manufactured by QSI Corp., will be available as an option for new Xata customers and as an upgrade for existing Xatanet and Xata MobileMax customers. According to the company, it incorporates a thin film transistor (TFT) transflective liquid crystal display (LCD) for optimal performance in a wide range of in-cab lighting conditions and harsh environments.
"The new display makes it easier for drivers to read and use, and it provides an expandable solution for future applications and in-cab functionality for private and for-hire fleets," said Tom Flies, senior vice president of product strategy, XATA Corporation.
Xata also announced the release of an upgraded version of its MicroDisplay, offering a brighter, side-lit screen for better in-cab visibility and stronger case, the company said.
