Karmak Inc., a software provider for the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry, has joined STAR (Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail), a group dedicated to implementing voluntary IT standards throughout the automotive industry.
One of STAR’s goals is to improve communication among manufacturers, retail outlets and dealers by implementing voluntary IT standards to support their business information tools and Internet links.
Karmak said Participation in the non-profit group will help it provide quality technology solutions “that reduce quality and cost, while improving accuracy and efficiency.”
Carlinville, IL-based Karmak (www.karmak.com) provides computer and business management software systems to fleets, dealers and suppliers.
