PeopleNet has announced its eDriver Logs automated driver log application has been integrated with McLeod Software’s LoadMaster dispatch and enterprise software, allowing users to wirelessly receive driver hours information on LoadMaster screens alongside other load and driver information.

According to the companies, before the integration dispatchers had to leave LoadMaster to get driver hours information, needing to access PeopleNet’s Fleet Manager application or message the driver.

EDriver keeps logs automatically, complying with DOT regulations, while alerting drivers and managers when hours-of-service (HOS) limits are approaching and generating current driver status for DOT auditors during fleet visits.

"PeopleNet has been very creative with their solution, making it accessible, simple and straightforward,” said Tom McLeod, president of McLeod Software. “The information coming directly off the unit is fantastic for load planners to get on a real-time basis to make sure they don't dispatch a driver over hours. It really takes a lot of the chance for error out of the equation."
