SkyBitz has announced that five additional customers are now using its satellite-based asset tracking and information management service

SkyBitz has announced that five additional customers are now using its satellite-based asset tracking and information management service. This brings the total to 440 fleets that rely on SkyBitz GLS technology to track more than 140,000 trailers.

“The SkyBitz tracking technology gives carriers and private fleets of all sizes the ability to track their assets in real time, which not only increases operating efficiencies but also enhances security,” said Roni Taylor, executive vp of SkyBitz. “Our GLS-based tracking solutions offer customers superior reliability, coverage, battery life and ease of use.”

Combined, the five new fleet customers that have just installed SkyBitz GLS 200 mobile tracking units operate nearly 600 trailers. They include American Wood Fibers, Inc., located in Columbia, MD; Clark & Reid Co., Inc., a Billerica, MA, moving company; H&N Transport, a subsidiary of Madison, WI-based agribusiness Hartung Brothers; R.E. Barnett & Sons Trucking, a long-haul carrier with offices in Tucson, AZ and Hebron, KY; and Express Way Group, with facilities in Phoenix, and Salt Lake City.
