Swift Transportation, Werner Enterprises, Celadon Group and Atlas World Group have joined the consortium formed to help Qualcomm Inc. develop its untethered trailer tracking and asset management system.

Schneider National was the founding member of the group, which was established to provide fleet direction and feedback as the company launches its new untethered trailer tracking service.

Two trailer makers — Heil Trailer International and Hyundai Translead — have joined a complementary advisory committee. They will offer trailer installation as the system is deployed, according to Qualcomm.

Innovative Computing Corp. and McLeod Software Corp. have also joined the advisory group and will offer integration services for back-office software applications.
