Interstate Battery System of America has upgraded handheld computers for its 1,200 route sales managers to more powerful units running Microsoft Windows OS. The new units, Intermec 6110 mobile computers from Intermec Technologies Corp. of Everett, WA, run Interstate Batteries' mobile software co-designed by Intermec partner Mobile Tech Solutions Inc. and Interstate Batteries.
The ruggedized mobile pen computer is equipped with a 100 MHz AMD processor and 32 megabytes of memory.
