Isuzu Commercial Truck of America has added Teletrac's Fleet Director telematics system as either a port or dealer-installed option for its 2011 and 2012 model-year N-Series medium-duty trucks.
Teletrac said Fleet Director 8.2, the most recent version of its system, not only locates, tracks and monitors the position and operation of fleet vehicles, it also provides flexible “at-a-glance” dashboards and safety scorecards along with diagnostic trouble code reporting.
Fleet Director will be offered for NPR-HD, NQR and NRR models beginning this month and includes a three-year, unlimited-mileage limited warranty. Availability for NPR Eco-Max and 2012 N-Gas models will be announced at a later date.
“Safety is no longer just a cost center and compliance issue,” said Teletrac executive vice president Drew Hamilton. “For many fleets, it's now a strategic business priority to help trim costs and boost efficiency. For this reason, Teletrac captures the industry's widest range of safety-related vehicle and driver data, making this information more useful and actionable in real time to help fleet managers increase bottom-line safety performance, and improve overall fleet operations.”
Among the features of Fleet Director are the ability to lower fuel consumption, automatic route guidance, and detailed reporting. The dashboards can show the driving behavior and safety performance for individual drivers, user-defined groups of vehicles, and the fleet as a whole. www.isuzucv.com
All of the analytics are available in real time using data captured by Teletrac and is viewable through any web browser. The data includes speeding miles, severe speeding miles, harsh braking events, harsh acceleration events, and bad cornering events.
