Flatbed carrier Cypress Truck Lines has decided to expand its use of wireless data communications, adding 250 new Aether MobileMax systems to the 150 it installed three years ago. MobileMax is a multi-mode system that uses both satellite- and land-based networks, balancing low-cost communications with complete wireless coverage.
Drivers with AT&T mLife or Nextel wireless service can get color weather radar images on their phones with Mobile My-Cast. The new service also includes weather warnings, watches and alerts, as well as hour-by-hour forecasts for specific routes in the U.S. www.digitialcyclone.com
