Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) has announced price increases of up to 6% on Firestone and Dayton tires and on Bandag retreads. The increase is due to rising costs of raw materials, the company said.

BBTS, a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, will raise prices 6% on all its Firestone and Dayton truck and bus radial tires. That increase will go into effect on June 1.

Price increases of up to 6% went into effect on May 1 for all Bandag retread materials.

“Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions continues to look for ways to balance costs and continue to deliver a premium package of value to our dealer and fleet customers,” said Kurt Danielson, vp-sales and marketing, BBTS. “Today, however, we have reached a point where we must increase prices due to the unrelenting escalation of costs outside of our control for energy, fuel and raw materials.”
