Toyota production good news for auto freight

Production output in North America could reach 100 percent Toyota said in a report from IndustryWeek

Toyota now expects its production output in North America to return to 100% by September, according to a news report posted today on IndustryWeek.com. That is also ahead of its expected return to full production.

The report relates that Toyota has stated that--, in recovering from the March 11 earthquake and tsunami In Japan that battered its supply chain—it had 8 of its 12 North American-built models returned to 100% production as of June 6.

Toyota’s North American production has improved to more than 80% “through August.”
