As part of global realignment of Sweden’s AB Volvo’s truck brands in the Americas, two key executives are being promoted to new positions within the region.
Effective Jan. 1, Ron Huibers will become president of North American truck sales & marketing for the Volvo Group, responsible for all of the company’s commercial activities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Huibers will continue to report to Dennis Slagle, who as part of the recent reorganization of AB Volvo’s truck operations has been promoted to Volvo Group executive vice president for truck sales & marketing for the Americas – overseeing the commercial activities of all the Volvo Group’s truck brands in North and South America.
Likewise, Kevin Flaherty is stepping up to become president of North American sales & marketing for the Mack Truck brand effective Jan. 1. He will also report to Slagle, who in addition to his Volvo truck duties maintains global responsibility for the Mack Truck brand as part of the Volvo Group reorganization.
