SkyBitz names Kuntz to board

SkyBitz has appointed Ray Kuntz, former American Trucking Assns. (ATA) chairman and current CEO of Watkins Shepherd Trucking, to its board of directors

SkyBitz has appointed Ray Kuntz, former American Trucking Assns. (ATA) chairman and current CEO of Watkins Shepherd Trucking, to its board of directors.

Kuntz, who has 23 years of trucking industry experience, served as chairman of ATA from June 2007 through October 2008, beginning his career in the industry in 1986 when he began his own freight-brokerage business.

He currently directs the daily operations of Watkins Shepherd, which operates about 700 trucks and 1,400 trailers, and also is the chairman of the American Trucking and Transportation Insurance Company.
