NYC Re-Allows Some Truck Entry

Trucks and vans are now permitted to cross the Williamsburg Bridge and enter the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel in New York City. But the Holland Tunnel into the city remains closed to commercial vehicles.

Trucks and vans are now permitted to cross the Williamsburg Bridge and enter the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel in New York City. But the Holland Tunnel into the city remains closed to commercial vehicles.

The New York Times reported that police said lifting the bans was a sign of increased confidence in security within the city; and not a result of easing security a response to new information.
