National diesel prices jumped 3.8 cents last week to average $1.912 per gallon, setting a new all-time high, the Energy Information Administration said. Oil prices appear to be the culprit as Reuters reported today oil prices hit a one month high at $47/barrel.

Every region posted significant price hikes this week. The West Coast saw the most dramatic increase, up 4.8 cents to $2.088 per gallon. The Rocky Mountain region saw the most modest rise, up 1.8 cents to $1.937. The Gulf Coast and the Lower Atlantic regions tied for the cheapest diesel, at $1.868. California once again posted the most expensive price, at $2.152.
