General Motors (GM) is offering a bevy of incentives for small-business owners, as well as fleet managers looking to purchase new light trucks or vans.
The options for qualified commercial vehicles include:
- Adrian Steel storage systems, ladder racks or toolboxes at little or no extra cost;
- Cash back amounting to $500 or $1,000 toward the purchase/lease price to install eligible upfit equipment from any upfitter, or eligible GM accessories, respectively;
- Receive a $500 Lowes gift card to make any purchase;
- Receive a $500 credit on a GM/Chase Mastercard along with 1% earnings on any purchase or 2% earnings on GM parts and services purchases at authorized GM vehicle dealers.
GM’s newest option, the GM/Chase Mastercard, is available until September 30, 2005.
“Customers may choose $500 credit to equip their vehicles to meet their needs or to help offset the cost of other business expenses,” said John Gaydash, marketing director for GM Fleet and Commercial Operations.
Currently, the upfit and gift card options are quite evenly split in popularity, although the GM/Chase Mastercard option is expected to gain plenty of momentum, GM representatives said.
