The Energy Information Administration said today the national price for diesel rose another 3.9 cents last week to set a new record at $2.092 per gallon. Diesel price trends have lately been synchronous with the current string of all-time high crude prices, and there’s no major relief in the foreseeable future.

The cheapest diesel could be found in the Gulf Coast region, at $2.033 per gallon. All regions posted a significant increase, but the Gulf Coast’s was the most modest at 3.3 cents. Prices in the Rocky Mountain region shot up 6.7 cents to $2.132. The most expensive region to fill up is California once again, at $2.322
