Handheld holds up to routes

The new CK60 handheld computer was specifically developed to stand up to the rigorous conditions of route and direct-store-delivery fleets, according to Intermec Technologies Corp. It features a magnesium top cover, rubber bumpers on each corner, and a case sealed against water and dust to IP64 standards.

Intended for route accounting applications, the new CK60 runs the Windows CE 5.0 operating system and has non-volatile memory that saves applications and databases even if the battery is drained.

It also features an SDIO card slot for additional memory capacity and uses Intermec’s SmartSystem device management technology for remotely updating and managing mobile devices. Connectivity options include high-speed Ethernet, USB, RS232 and Bluetooth wireless communications. For more information, go to www.intermec.com.
